Tame Impala at Co-op Live Manchester: Everything You Need to Know

Following a hugely successful 2026 European arena run, Tame Impala is returning to Manchester in 2027 for 2 incredible shows. The psychedelic music project will perform twice at Co-op Live, as part of the Deadbeat EU/UK Tour.

If you’re planning to see Tame Impala in Manchester, this guide covers everything you need to know about the Friday 28 and Saturday 29 May 2027 Co-op Live concerts.

Who Is Tame Impala?

Tame Impala is the Grammy Award-winning psychedelic music project of Australian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker.

While Tame Impala is often referred to as a band, the project is Parker’s studio project and creative vision. In the studio, he writes, records, performs and produces the music himself, while a full touring band brings the songs to life on stage.

Since beginning the project in 2008, Parker has transformed Tame Impala from an Australian psychedelic rock project into one of the world’s most recognisable alternative music acts, with his second album Lonerism earning a Best Alternative Album Grammy nomination.

When Is Tame Impala Playing at Co-op Live?

With Wet Leg joining the Manchester dates as support, and Tame Impala playing just 8 venues across Europe, the Manchester shows are expected to be incredibly special.

What to Expect from Tame Impala’s Co-op Live Shows

Tame Impala’s live performances are known for their combination of psychedelic visuals, immersive lighting, electronic production and powerful live performances. The Deadbeat tour takes this experience even further with a custom 360-degree ‘in-the-round’ stage, placing Kevin Parker at the centre of the arena.

The production features incredible moving light halos, laser arrays and visual effects, creating an immersive atmosphere and ensuring every angle of the venue gets a full view of the show.

Tame Impala’s Biggest Songs

Tame Impala’s mainstream breakthrough came with the release of Currents in 2015, an album that traded rock guitars for ’80s disco, R&B and synth-pop grooves. Tracks like The Less I Know The Better, Let It Happen and even more shown below, turned Tame Impala into a global festival-headlining artist.

I recently booked VIP tickets through Sport and Music Club to see Simply Red as a Christmas present for my mum, and the whole experience was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. From the moment we arrived at the VIP entrance, the staff were professional, friendly, and extremely attentive. We were guided straight to the Adidas Lounge, which was stunning – beautifully set out with a lovely ambience, stylish seating, and a relaxed but luxurious feel. The service inside was faultless, with staff making sure everything ran smoothly and that we felt well looked after at all times. Our seats were incredible, positioned right next to the stage with a perfect view. It made the concert even more special and unforgettable. A special thank you to Simon Thompson, who I dealt with to arrange the tickets – he was fantastic and made the whole booking process simple, professional, and reassuring. This was a truly memorable VIP experience, and I cannot recommend Sport and Music Club highly enough. Five stars well deserved!
